Although Star Wars Celebration has come and gone, the past month has been filled with a plethora of SW related merchandise. So much so that I’ve had to restrict the content on here so as not to appear as strictly a Star Wars themed product blog. One item that is worth mentioning are these bookends. Fashioned in the iconic SW logo, you can use them as bookends or to proudly display your dvd collection. $55 and available at Big Bad Toy store.

So lately I’ve emmersed myself in the world of kubricks and be@rbricks. My main focus is be@rbricks, specifically the 400% and maybe the 1000% variety but from time time certain kubricks come out that grab my attention, like these Megaman ones now available in the US. Although they are of the 100% size they are definitely hella cool. Plus each set comes with a kubrick and a be@rbrick so it’s a win/win. The sets consits of Megaman and Proto Man with an accompanying 1up be@rbrick. Act fast as each set is limited to 500 pieces and sold exclusively through the Capcom store.

So this past week hundreds of Star Wars afficionados gathered in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center for Star Wars Celebration V. It’s pretty much like Comic Con except it’s all about Star Wars. Like the Con there are various activities that take place throughtout the 3 day event and one of them this yeard had George Lucas breaking out of the Skywalker vault a never before scene clip from Return of the Jedi. Safe to say it’s nothing short of awesomeness.
Some of the best memories I have of growing up were going to the store around the corner from my house and picking up a pack of Garbage Pail kids. With sizes starting at 6″ x 8″ for your laptop to an astonishing 7ft!!! (52″ x 75″), you can take your GPK fascination to the next level.

One of the most memorable scenes of the 90’s was in T2 when Arnold Schwarzenegger cut the skinn off his arm to reveal the metal endoskeleton underneath. Every sci-fi fan from that point on would have loved to have their own Terminator arm on display like they did at Cyberdyne. If you’re Adam Gontier, lead singer of Three Days Grace then you got the paper to make it happen. Constructed by Chris Conte, the project took 3 months to complete as 11 separate silicone molds were taken from the master to create the wax models needed for the casting process. The stand was unveiled on February 19 at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.
